  1. I am searching for a death certificate for my great-grandfather Eugen Siegheim. He was born in Oppeln/Opole Upper Silesia 4-10-1840 and died in Beuthen/Bytom in 1924, date unknown. He belonged to the Neue Synagogue in Oppeln and was a life-long member of B’nai Brith. He might be buried in the Jewish Cemetery in Oppeln. I need to verify that this ancestor was Jewish, so need to have a document where his religion was listed. He was married to Bertha Berliner in Georgenheim bei Tamowitz in 1886 to Bertha Berliner, born 1851 in Oppeln.

  2. Hello! Was wondering if anyone could help me find information such as birth or any other certificate relating to my granny who was born in Bytom and was forced out after the war? Any ideas or advice to find the best way to find information please.

    1. I would start by searching on JRI-Poland for Bytom records. Some of the records are also scanned and viewable on FamilySearch (links on this page).
