Reads like an exciting/interesting introduction …. And then concludes with one banal sentence, “This then is the story of Monastir.” For me, the only useful tidbit was about the destination camps to which my family might have been sent: Treblinka (if they had remained) or Auschwitz (if they had first fled to Greece).
