This was an amazing resource. It’s very hard to find an actual copy of this book, printed in 1957, and I was only able to borrow it (a few times!) from my local UCLA library. Rabbi Emmanuel explains so much about the early life of the Jews who fled Spain and Portugal for a life in Curacao, and a focus on the tombstones in the cemetery. His explanations are very lucid, explaining the elaborate carvings and inscriptions on the tombstones, that are so different from Ashkenazi tombstones of the same time periods.

Hi Philip,
As a followup to my message of July 31, 2020, thanks to Amanda KLUFELD of Amsterdam, in The Netherlands, who has herself published some fine articles, she was able to locate this book and kindly sent it to me, thousands of miles away in Los Angeles.
At this time I cannot devote much time to helping others with their research but if there is a simple question, I can do my best to help Ramona.
