I am so pleased to find this and would like to find further information please. The ancestral line that I am currently working on has Rachel Cohen Y’asevedo 1771-1821 married to Menasseh Delgado 1769-1815 with children named Isaac, Moses, David, Esther, Sarah, Absalom, Jemima, and Gershon George .
Please could you shed some light on this family.
They or the descendants emigrated to Jamaica where Jemima married Daniel Hart dhose daughter Rachel Honora married Claudius Kerr.
Much appreciated.
Kindly
I would start by searching the Knowles Collection on South America and the Caribbean (https://www.familysearch.org/search/genealogies/submission/8/MMD6-P2K). Note that there are several people with the same or similar names.
For Jamaica I would look at my resources (https://bloodandfrogs.com/compendium/jamaica), and if you haven’t looked, there are a few for Trinidad and Tobago (https://bloodandfrogs.com/compendium/trinidad-and-tobago).
Hey there, I am descended from Rachel and Claudius Kerr. I have some records and details of this family. Tom
