  1. Reads like an exciting/interesting introduction …. And then concludes with one banal sentence, “This then is the story of Monastir.” For me, the only useful tidbit was about the destination camps to which my family might have been sent: Treblinka (if they had remained) or Auschwitz (if they had first fled to Greece).

    1. “This is the story of the community of Monastir.” is the final sentence of the introduction – if you follow the links at the side of the page you will find much more information, including individual stories.
